Camping, anyone?

I've never been much of a camper. Oh, I can do it, and I enjoy cooking over a fire, but the sleeping on the ground thing has never really appealed to me. Too many aches and pains for that.

But these pictures Donna sent me just might make me rethink that.

What about you? Do you enjoy camping?

We use to camp all the time when I was young. Loved the camp fire, the sounds of the woods at night. But the kids grew up and wanted TV's and hotel rooms. OH well, I might take it up again if I had Diego to share that sleeping bag with. Woohoo!! Hot dogs and Marshmallows are calling my name again.

My kids are both Eagle scouts and they don't like to camp very much. So, yeah, hotel rooms with Internet are a must.
Well, okay, so it's a must for me too....

Cheryl, my older son just completed his Eagle project.

Donna, I love these photos! I think I may have to steal them for my blog :)

By the way, thanks to both of you for accepting my friend request on FB!

Oh God I hate camping. It doesn't matter that I've never been. There isn't a single ounce of me that wants to rough it! HOWEVER, I love campfires and smores and all that. Just don't want to sleep on the ground. Your happy camper, here, though, would likely make it a far more interesting proposition. And yes, I giggled for a few minutes before writing all of this because all I could think was "Look! He pitched a tent!" Someday maybe I'll grow up...or not:-)

Hi Helen,
Congrats on the Eagle scout! It's a lot of hard work.
See you on Facebook!

We've done the camping thing. I don't mind it. My kids and hubby love it, so I go along. I do insist on camping with, at minimum, a tent cabin...therefore, no sleeping on the floor. Flushing toilets are also a must-no port-o-pottys for me. It can be done.

Now, knowing I'd have a guy like the one in the photo maybe in the next campsite would definitely help things along.

A little eye candy never hurts!

Hi Cheryl!!

I used to do the camping thing... now I don't think I could get up off the ground! *grin* Those days are long gone for me at this point, but with a view like the photo you posted...I am tempted to give it anotber shot!

:o)
