OMG, I'm tired! It is now 11:20 PM, and I'm just getting home to write my blog.
Would you get a load of all the books--and all but one were free! That tote bag could have held more, but this is certainly enough! Amazing! Of course, the most unbelievable thing is that I could have come home with a whole lot more books if I'd gone to some of the other booksignings. It's a reader's paradise!
I'll get back to blogging normally at some point, but who knows when that will be. I'm sure you're all suffering from hunk withdrawal.
I've received Ana's story, but haven't looked at it yet. I'll post it soon.
For those of you on FB, I'll get back on there eventually. Right now I can barely keep my itchy eyes open to write this blog. I seem to be allergic to the eye shadow I wore to the SB dinner and the Rita Awards. I woke up Sunday morning with swollen, peeling eyelids and though they look okay now, they still feel very irritated.
I've got two doctor's appointments and an appointment with Neighbor Janet for a massage tomorrow, so I can't even sleep late in the morning. Too bad she's not making house calls tonight. I could use one right now!
Anyway, the other pictures are of the room I stayed in in DC, which I took while I was packing. It was a pretty nice room, but still, THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME!!!!!

Yep no place like home though the hotel looked nice :D
Sorry you were allergic XD My friend is super allergic to any kind of old makeup and her eyes get so red.
A massage sounds amazing right now.
And yes we've been hunk withdrawn but trust me we all had fun seeing pics from the RWA :D
Holy Mackeral!!! Our Master is back. Yeah!!! That's a Shit load of books. Are these booksignings open to the general public? Can all fans attend? We seen FB pictures of you and the other authors from Fans. Sorry, about the Itchy Eyes. How did the feet holdup? You worried about your shoes. We didn't see even one picture of your feet. Did you go to Harry Potter last night too with your men?
Get a Massage, have another cup of Tea and you'll be ready to Take Charge. MeoW!!!!Bring on the Men.
Ana,
Old makeup, huh? I've used this same eye shadow before with no trouble, but I've had it for quite a while. That must have been the problem.
Donna,
My feet didn't do too badly. I think part of the reason for that is that along with all the walking around the hotel, I was, for the most part, sitting in class.
Yes, I could use a massage--or another three hours of sleep. Not sure Earl Grey is gonna do it for me this time.
The Literacy signing on Wednesday evening was open to the public. We sign books that are sold to raise money for reading programs. The other book signings where the books are free are only open to those attending the conference. I certainly gave away more books than I sold!
Welcome home safe and sound Cheryl! What a haul on books, huh? Now to just find the time to read them all.:)
I sure could use a massage about now! Enjoy!
It was great to be with you cheryl and to share a few whoo hoo moments! Already counting down to next year....
Reminder to your readers that my Love at First Flight book club meeting is tonight on my blog, http://mariesullivanforce.blogspot.com at 7 p.m. EDT. Warning, there will be spoilers so don't click on the comments unless you've read the book! Great prizes and great fun, so come on over!!
Glad you mentioned that, Marie. I'd totally forgotten what day it was. In my defense, I can only say that I've seen two doctors today and had a massage and my itchy eyes are driving me nuts!
Yeah, Lisa. I don't know when, or if, I will ever get these books read. All I know is that it won't be anytime soon!
Ugh, so sorry about the bum eyes, woman! I've had some issues in that regard, too. I have had to stop wearing eye shadow. This is just further proof that we should never leave our houses!!
Oh WOW! That’s a lot of books Cheryl. Glad to hear your got home safely. Sorry about the allergic reaction they can be really uncomfortable.
I think all of us are going to need a good relaxing massage to help us with the hunk withdrawal. Especially our Benji withdrawal, we haven’t seen him in a while. Maybe we should have a Benji week to gets us all back in shape. What do you think girls? Are you missing our Benji?
Hi Leslie!
Yes, we do miss our Benji, don't we? You'll be happy to know that I spoke with the cover artist at the conference and told her that when it came time to design the cover of Renegade, I would send her a picture. Maybe Benji will get that book cover after all!
Normally I don't have any problem, Marie. Should have stuck to the old reliable instead of trying to be fancy, I guess.
Welcome home, Cheryl. I didn't know that attending convensions could be so hazard to your health. Maybe some naked cowboy hunks might be just the cure all. Ha!
YAY!!!! I'll keep my finger cross so that he gets to be on the cover. Besides I think the author should have a saying on her book covers. Who better would know what a character looks like right?
Heck yeah Benji cover if possible XD
Wow Cheryl...that would be so cool if Benji got a cover...Maybe by that point they'll be using the whole face????? We can dream and hope I guess. Sorry your eyes are still itchy...My sister did the whole cosmetology school thing years ago and she told me that anything you put on your eyes, once you open it....3 months max...especially eyeliner and mascara....I hope it's all cleared up soon.
And Sharon--YES PLEASE on the cowboys and tractors! I can't wait!
